Chart-topping singer Jess Glynne is the first act confirmed for next summer's Newmarket Racecourses' concert series.
Due to overwhelming demand for her sold-out show this summer, Newmarket Nights and The Jockey Club Live are delighted to welcome back Jess Glynne to the Adnans July Course in 2017.
The Hold My Hand star will return to Newmarket Racecourse on Saturday, August 26.
Jess Glynne said: “It’s going to be great fun playing Newmarket Racecourse on August 26 after the races.
“My show there in the summer was one of my highlights as the fans were so amazing.
“I can’t wait to come back.”
First coming into the public consciousness as the vocalist on Clean Bandit’s Grammy Award-winning and number one hit Rather Be, pop sensation Jess Glynne has since become one of the biggest UK breakthrough acts of recent years.
Her number-one charting debut album I Cry When I Laugh has turned double platinum in the UK, making it the highest selling debut album of the past year.
Jess is also one of only two British female solo artists to have five consecutive UK number one singles.
2016 was a further massive year for Jess, with a sold-out UK arena tour under her belt.
She was also nominated for British Breakthrough Act, British Female Solo Artist and British Single for Hold My Hand at this year’s prestigious Brit Awards.
The 2016 Newmarket concert season welcomed acts including Little Mix, Tears For Fears, Mark Ronson and the Kaiser Chiefs to the Adnams July Course, collectively playing to over 100,000 fans.
Amy Starkey, Regional Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “We are very excited to be welcoming Jess back to Newmarket Racecourses next August.
“After a fantastic show this year, when performing to a sold-out crowd, I have no doubt we will be treated to another brilliant set.
“Summer Saturday Live really is the perfect way to kick off the August Bank Holiday weekend, especially when joined by a global superstar such Jess Glynne.”
As well as appearing at Newmarket this year, Jess Glynne also headlined Hertfordshire music festival Standon Calling.
