POPULAR classics will be played by the Hertford Symphony Orchestra at its latest concert on Saturday.

The orchestra’s concert at Hertford Theatre will feature Finlandia by Sibelius, Elgar’s Cello Concerto with soloist Timothy Lowe, and Beethoven’s Symphony No 7.

Soloist Tim has won many awards and prizes for his playing and combines postgraduate studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a busy concert and recital schedule in both the UK at major venues, including Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, St John’s Smith Square and St James’s Piccadilly, and abroad.

He has also been invited to be guest principal cello with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and appears regularly with the cellos of the English Chamber Orchestra.

Tickets for the Hertford concert cost £15 adults, £12 concessions and £5 children and students.
