Hertford's annual Musical Mystery Tour has a new headline sponsor ready to plug the August bank holiday festival.

Adaptor Clothing has come on board as the festival’s main sponsor for 2108 – a “match made in musical heaven”, according to festival organisers.

This year’s festival will take place at various Hertford pubs and venue on Sunday, August 26.

Hertford Music Festival chairman Kev Saunders said: “We’re very chuffed to announce that Hertford’s Adaptor Clothing are to be our main sponsor for 2018.

“We’re working on all sorts of ideas to maximise the impact of our partnership – but one thing’s already clear, Adaptor Clothing and the Musical Mystery Tour is a match made in musical heaven.”

Based in their Mead Lane Hertford showroom, Adaptor Clothing is the internet’s number one Mod, Skinhead, Rude Boy and Scooterist’s clothing store.

Offering an unbeatable range of retro and lifestyle-inspired clothing, Adaptor source the best quality, most reasonably priced and most authentic attire available from around the world – classic brands such as Fred Perry, Ben Sherman, Dr Martens, Trojan, Delicious Junction and Lambretta, not to mention Adaptor’s own label.

“Having attended two of the previous Musical Mystery Tours, we have always been impressed by what a positive, entertaining and eclectic event it is, attracting tens of thousands of music fans to the pubs, clubs and bars of Hertford,” said Adaptor’s Paul Brown.

”We’re big music fans, and run our business on that very fact... selling clothing that represents the uniform of so many music driven subcultures.

“When we were offered the opportunity to become the main sponsor, we jumped at the chance.

“It just ticks so many boxes for us and we are delighted to be associated with such a fantastic event.

“Make sure you come and find us at the Adaptor stage this year!”

With the Musical Mystery Tour line-up being finalised, a wealth of musicians and acts are set to perform in up to 40 venues in and around the town, from 11am until midnight.

Kev Saunders added: “Just like the Hertford Music Festival team, the Adaptor Clothing team are driven by a passion for what they do – we all love music and we all love Hertford.

“With that shared passion in mind, we’re getting Adaptor more deeply involved than any sponsor has been before.

“So watch this space for news coming very soon about the Adaptor-curated and hosted stage at this year’s Musical Mystery Tour, not to mention more sponsors and other exciting alliances.”
