Hatfield music festival’s stage times announced

Stage times have been announced for a music festival returning to Hatfield next month.

Folk by the Oak will take place in the beautiful, leafy surrounds of the historic Queen Elizabeth Oak Field at Hatfield House on Sunday, July 15.

Organisers at JSL Productions have confirmed the running order for the all-day festival’s two stages.

The FBTO 2018 main stage line-up will feature a closing set from newlywed Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist Amy Macdonald from 9.15pm.

The Mr Rock & Roll star’s headline performance will finish around 10.30pm, accompanied by Folk by the Oak’s traditional fireworks finale.

Recent Ivor Novello Award winner Billy Bragg will also play the main stage in Hatfield Park from 7.20pm.

The Bard of Barking’s set will follow performances during the day from duo Catrin Finch & Seckou Keita, Sam Kelly & The Lost Boys, Julie Fowlis, The Young’uns and Eliza Carthy & The Wayward Band.

CC Smugglers will headline the Acorn Stage from 8.30pm, with the tent’s line-up also including performances from the likes of Midnight Skyracer and Stick In The Wheel.

Gates to the family-friendly Hatfield music festival open at noon, and the event will finish around 10.30pm.

Regular price tickets cost £39.95 until midnight on July 14.

They are £45 on the day of the festival, subject to availability.

Tickets for children aged five to 15 cost £18, with youngsters aged four and under going free.

All under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is over 18 years old.
