ROCK covers band Deaf Shepherd are headlining a one-off fundraiser.

The group perform rock covers from the 1970s to today. Favourites include Jethro Tull and Fleetwood Mac.

Frontman Steve Townsend said: "The event will be a special performance from The Sheps with some unusual acoustic material as well as our normal set."

The St Albans based act is hoping to raise much-needed money for Motec Life UK. The charity supports volunteers providing education, training and health care services in West Africa.

The Maltings Theatre, St Albans, is hosting the night.

Support will be from Jenium. The four-piece have been gigging for less than a year but have already showcased their sounds at top local venues.

Tickets for the show are available from box office on 01727 844222 for £12.
