THERE will be fiddles galore in St Albans later this week.
Conceived in 1993 for a one-off show, Feast Of Fiddles are still going strong and will be performing at the Alban Arena for their 20th anniversary on Tuesday at 7.30pm.
Celebrating this magnificent milestone, band members have chosen St Albans for another one-off performance featuring a stellar line-up of folk-rock musicians.
The show promises a who’s who of fiddlers and genre luminaries.
Phil Beer, Garry Blakeley, Joe Broughton and Sophie Crabtree will be scraping away in front of Hugh Crabtree, Gabby Garrick, Chris Gower, Deirdre Graham, Dave Harding, Carlton Hunt and Dave Mattacks.
In total there will be 13 fiddles, two drummers, a three-piece brass section, four guitars, keyboards, harp and accordion.
This very special show will be in three parts, with a set from the current band and then a set of guest features before the full ensemble hits the stage for a thrilling finale of fabulous Feast of Fiddles arrangements.
Special guest and MC for the night, Richard Digance, will try to bring some order to the proceedings.
Tickets cost £22.50. Call the Alban Arena box office on 01727 844488 or book online at www.alban-arena.co.uk
