ENJOY the uplifting sounds of music from Rogers and Hammerstein in an orchestral concert this Sunday.

Philharmonic at University of Hertfordshire, based in Hatfield, bring their spring 2008 concert to the Weston Auditorium on the de Havilland Campus.

Barber's sad Adagio for Strings begins the evening, followed by music from soloist Kathryn Jenkin - not to be confused with the Welsh superstar singer

The programme will include five numbers from the love songs of Rogers and Hammerstein, including The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music.

After the songs, Copland's Quiet City will finish the first half, followed in the second half by Mahler's Symphony No 4.

Tickets are £15, £12 for concessions or £6 for students and children.

There is a pre-concert talk at 6.45pm for an extra £2.50.

The music starts at 7.30pm.
