Elaine Paige, the First Lady of musical theatre, will be in concert in St Albans later this month.
The musical theatre icon, who starred in the original West End production of musical Chess among others, comes to The Alban Arena on Sunday, November 26 at 7.30pm.
Elaine recently gained an honorary degree from the University of Hertfordshire at St Albans Cathedral in recognition of her outstanding contribution to music and theatre.
She has starred in more smash hit West End and Broadway musicals than anyone else of her generation, including lead roles in Evita, Sunset Boulevard, Cats and Chess.
This special show at The Alban Arena will see the singer perform many of the hits that made her a global star.
Elaine’s favourite tracks by contemporary songwriters will also be given the Paige treatment.
Her musical director John G Smith and his band will play a half hour set first, followed by a 20-minute interval, before Elaine, John and his band play her full set.
