The dance anthems to be performed on stage at next month's Classic Ibiza concert in Knebworth have been revealed.
With less than a month to go until Knebworth House hosts Classic Ibiza, it’s time to get out your dancing shoes for an evening of house anthems from the ‘White Island’.
We’ve got exclusive access to the track list for the opening Knebworth Proms concert and speak to some of the artists about what the audience can expect.
The Urban Soul Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Hussey, will perform classic Ibiza anthems under the stars with DJ Goldierocks and vocalists Max Barnes-Davy, Jina Burrows and Roo Savill on Saturday, August 19.
This will be Hertfordshire’s biggest dance party of the summer full of iconic Ibiza anthems.
A chill-out set in the first half will be followed by a half hour interval with DJ Goldierocks playing the latest Ibiza tunes.
As dusk falls, the lasers will hit the Knebworth skyline as the Urban Soul Orchestra return to bring some of the best of the White Island’s dance tunes to orchestral life.
USO conductor Stephen Hussey said: “The tracks cater for everyone that loves Ibiza dance music: the party people who were there at the beginning, the next generation who were clubbing at the turn of the century and the millennials who have grown up listening to club music of the last 10 years.”
The concert kicks-off with a chill-out set featuring Les Nuits (Nightmares On Wax), Teardrop (Massive Attack), At The River (Groove Armada), Here With Me (Dido), Unfinished Sympathy (Massive Attack), Café De Flores (Dr Rockit), So Good To Me (Chris Malinchak), Waves (Mr Probz), Chasing Cars (Snow Patrol), Children (Robert Miles), Barber’s Adagio For Strings (William Orbit) and Blackwater (Octave One).
In the second half the concert enters full-on party mode with some real dance-floor favourites, old and new, such as Right Here, Right Now (Fat Boy Slim), Insomnia (Faithless), Easy/Superstylin’ (Groove Armada), Sing It Back (Moloko), Found A Cure (Ultra Naté), Music Sounds Better With You (Stardust), One More Time (Daft Punk), Blind Faith (Chase & Status), Born Slippy (Underworld), Knights Of The Jaguar (DJ Rolando), Sandstorm (Darude), Titanium (David Guetta), Summer (Calvin Harris) and Don’t You Worry Child (Swedish House Mafia).
For St Albans resident Leanne Wren, a violinist with USO, the concert will be particularly memorable.
“I love the tracks we’re playing – the arrangements are amazing. Many of my friends are coming and it’s always exciting to have a connection with your audience and feel supported. I can’t wait!”
USO is releasing a Classic Ibiza album on August 4.
It will be available on CD, digital download and streaming from all major music websites and apps.
