Following Chas Hodges’ cancer scare earlier this year, Rockney legends Chas & Dave are back touring with a rescheduled date in St Albans next week.
The duo, famous for songs such as Rabbit and Gertcha, will be performing at The Alban Arena on Friday, October 13 at 7.30pm.
Pianist Chas Hodges and guitarist Dave Peacock began writing and performing songs together in 1972, having been friends since the early 60s.
The music business veterans reached the top 20 in 1979 with Gertcha and also enjoyed hits with The Sideboard Song (Got My Beer In The Sideboard Here), Rabbit, which reached number eight in the charts, and 1982 number two smash Ain’t No Pleasing You.
This was followed by further hits Margate and London Girls, and in 1986 they had a top six record with Snooker Loopy.
Support for Chas & Dave’s St Albans gig comes from The Jackie Lynton Band.
Tickets cost £31.
