Busted announced for Newmarket Nights concert
Busted are the latest big name confirmed to play Newmarket Nights at Newmarket Racecourse this summer.
Transporting you to the ‘Year 3000’ for a night of fun, frolics and fantastic horse racing, the pop-rock heavyweights will be storming the Newmarket Nights stage on Friday, July 22.
It is the reunion they said could never happen – even the members themselves have admitted it.
But Busted are back and the original trio will be touring this summer for the first time in 12 years.
James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson will be playing all their greatest hits together live, including What I Go To School For, Crashed The Wedding, Air Hostess and Year 3000.
The group said: “We’re really looking forward to putting on an awesome show at Newmarket this summer.
“Going to the races is such a great day out, we’re stoked to be joining the party and we’ll be playing a full set to close out the day, including the hits.
“Hopefully we’ll make a bob or two on the horses while we’re at it.”
Amy Starkey, Regional Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “We are very proud to announce yet another fantastic act for 2016 and we look forward to hosting the original Busted trio, especially with the town celebrating 350 years of making history.”
Alongside Busted, The Corrs, Will Young, Little Mix and Tears for Fears have already been announced for the 2016 season, with more announcements coming soon.
