Bellowhead appearing live in St Albans

IF you are a folk fan, you’d have to be a few fiddles shy of a Ceilidh to miss Bellowhead live in concert at the Alban Arena in St Albans later this year.

Having already headlined Folk by the Oak at Hatfield House, the mighty 11-piece collective will be performing in St Albans on Thursday, November 8.

Although tagged with the folk label, Bellowhead have in recent years been booked to appear at more mainstream summer event, such as the V Festival in Chelmsford, following the success of the highly-acclaimed and boundary-crossing album Hedonism.

Winners of the Best Live Band accolade at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards an astonishing five times, Bellowhead are renowned for their energetic, theatrical shows.

From the wild, rousing dance tunes to the theatricality of their ballads and sea songs, this is a band that are also funny, subtle and always engaging.

Tickets for their St Albans date cost £22.50 seated and £18 standing.
