BASTILLE return to Hertfordshire music festival Standon Calling this summer for a second time – armed with a number one album this time.
The London group’s debut Bad Blood topped the UK Album Charts on its first week of release. The band, still riding high in the singles chart with Pompeii, previously played Standon in 2011.
“Bastille will join a long line of acts that we’ve helped nurture at Standon Calling that have then gone on to mainstream acclaim,” said festival founder Alex Trenchard.
“This includes the likes of Florence and the Machine, Paloma Faith, Mumford and Sons, The Maccabees and Metronomy.
“But the special thing about Bastille is that they’re returning to play armed with a number one album. I can’t remember a situation like that at Standon before.”
A limited number of Tier 1 Weekend Tickets are now on sale for Standon Calling 2013 for just £99.
