TWO A1(M) slip roads closed for Knebworth music festival Eastern Electrics 2013 have reopened to traffic.

The three-day underground house and techno event finished in the grounds of Knebworth House last night (Sunday) with a main stage set from Masters At Work.

Two motorway slip roads closed for the festival weekend – the A1(M) Junction 7 (Stevenage south) northbound entry and southbound exit slip roads – reopened earlier than expected today (Monday) at 5.48am.

The Hitchin Lane, Codicote, closure was opened around 8pm last night (Sunday).

Having moved to Knebworth from London, Eastern Electrics featured more than 100 house and techno DJs over three days.

The festival ran through the night until 6am on Saturday and Sunday, prompting complaints from some Hertfordshire residents kept awake into the early hours by the noise.
