A three-day children’s festival will be staged at Hatfield House this summer for the first time.

LolliBop, the bash for little people, will take place at the Hatfield stately home this August.

A spokeswoman for LolliBop said the event had moved after feedback received from last year’s event.

Festival goers said the event, staged in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, was not very easy to get to.

She said: “We’ve taken on board all of the feedback from 2013 and are committed to making LolliBop better than ever before.

“Our aim has always been to make LolliBop the best day out for children and their families in the UK, and we firmly believe 2014 will be so.”

Last year a host of children’s favourites were featured on the line-up, including Peppa Pig, Shaun the Sheep, Postman Pat, Dick and Dom and Rastamouse.

The event will run from Friday, August 15 to Sunday, August 17.
