Download Festival 2015 line-up: Muse to headline Saturday main stage

Muse will headline the main stage at Download Festival for the first time next year.

The Knights of Cydonia rockers will top the bill at Donington Park on Saturday, June 13.

Also confirmed for the metal festival in today’s (Tuesday’s) line-up announcement are main stage special guests Faith No More and A Day To Remember, while Marilyn Manson will headline the second stage.

In a series of tweets this morning, Download Festival 2015 chief Andy Copping (@Maverick_AC) revealed the line-up for Saturday, June 13.

He tweeted: “The band headlining the main stage at Download on Sat 13 Jun ‘15 is Muse @muse @DownloadFest #DL2015

“The band playing special guest to @muse on the main stage at Download on Sat 13 Jun ‘15 is Faith No More @FaithNoMore @DownloadFest #DL2015

“The band playing third to @muse on the main stage at Download on Sat 13 Jun ‘15 is A Day To Remember @WhereisADTR @DownloadFest #DL2015

“The band headlining the 2nd stage at Download on Sat 13 Jun ‘15, is Marilyn Manson @MarilynManson @DownloadFest #DL2015”

Today’s announcement follows Monday’s confirmation that masked Iowa metallers Slipknot will headline the Friday night at Download, with Judas Priest as special guests.

Five Finger Death Punch will also play the festival on June 12, with Black Stone Cherry headlining the second stage.

Tickets for the music festival go on sale at 9am on Thursday.
