It’s almost time for Welwyn Hatfield residents to lace up their running shoes and take part in the annual Willow 10K run.
The charity fundraiser for Willow returns to the grounds of Hatfield House on Sunday, October 1 and guarantees to be a fun event for all the family.
The annual race will be started by Willow co-founder and life president Bob Wilson.
The former Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper will send runners off on a route that goes through the picturesque grounds of the Hertfordshire stately home, providing a unique opportunity to explore hidden parts of the Hatfield House estate not normally open to the public.
In addition to the 10K and 5K routes, there will be a Junior 1K (14s and under), plus a Tiny Tots Scamper for the little ones.
Family and friends are welcome to join the cheering teams and everyone will have access to Hatfield House’s Stable Yard, with its lovely shops and superb cafe.
Fancy running but didn’t register online before the closing date?
Sign up on the day at the registration tent. It costs £30 for the 10K, £20 for the 5K, and £5 for the Junior 1K. Please bring cash.
Welwyn Garden City-based Willow is the only national charity working with seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days.
