Star chef revealed for Hatfield House Food Festival

Celebrity chef Jean Christophe Novelli will be the star attraction at next month’s Hatfield House Food Festival.
Fantastic British Food Festivals organisers have confirmed the flamboyant Frenchman will be appearing at the culinary treat at Hatfield House on Sunday, September 6.
Formerly at Brocket Hall’s Auberge du Lac restaurant, the multi-award-winning Jean Christophe is now head of The Novelli Academy and an experienced TV chef.
Headlining the second day of the two-day festival, he will delight visitors with his unparalleled culinary knowledge and flair, taking part in cookery demonstrations, book signings and meet and greets.
Speaking about next month’s event, Jean Christophe said: “I’m so pleased to be joining Fantastic British Food Festivals at Hatfield House, we’ve got a great day planned.
“I’m looking forward to sharing my new recipes and meeting so many people passionate about good food, at such a beautiful venue.”
Hatfield House is a new venue for Fantastic British Food Festivals in 2015, and the Hertfordshire event offers a weekend of foodie heaven for all ages.
Open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6, visitors will discover delicious produce and entertainment in this historic setting, home to the Marquess and Marchioness of Salisbury.
Festival entry is included in the standard entry prices to the West Gardens and Park.
The festival weekend will be packed full of fun and flavour for all the family.
Visitors can sample fresh, regional produce from more than 30 stallholders, from wood fired pizzas to retro ice creams and exotic mojitos.
There’s the chance to learn new skills from the expert cookery demonstrations and talks, and to relax in the beautiful surroundings to the backdrop of live music.
Children will be entertained with a variety of activities such as garden games, a dedicated storyteller, animal petting farm and face painting.
Hatfield House West Garden and Park tickets are required to access the Food Festival.
Tickets cost £10 for adults, £9 for seniors and £6 for children aged five to 15 years.
To see inside Hatfield House, tickets are £16 for adults, £15 for seniors and £8 for children aged five to 15 years.
It is free for children under five.
