A stately home has reached the finals of the Herts Tourism Awards 2018.

Knebworth House has once again been shortlisted for the ‘Big Day Out’ category of the awards.

It faces competition from Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter and Broxbourne’s Paradise Wildlife Park.

The overall winner will be decided by public vote. Knebworth House won the accolade last year.

Members of the public can vote for this year’s winner by heading to the Visit Herts website – https://www.visitherts.co.uk/whats-on/hertfordshire-tourism-awards-2018 – or Facebook page (@visithertsUK).

As a special incentive – and to help more people experience the best of Hertfordshire’s incredible tourism destinations for themselves – anyone who votes will automatically be entered into a prize draw.

The winner will receive an overnight stay with dinner for two people at one of the accommodation providers nominated for a Visit Herts Tourism Award, worth up to £300 (terms and conditions apply).

Voting closes at 8pm on Sunday, November 4, and the businesses with the most votes will be crowned at a gala ceremony on Monday, December 10.

The 2018 Hertfordshire Tourism Awards includes seven categories, including best accommodation providers, best visitor attraction, tourism pub of the year, and the ultimate tourism experience of the year.

A judging panel of tourism experts from outside Hertfordshire has whittled down the entries to a shortlist of three finalists per category, with 21 tourism businesses making it through to the finals.

Destination specialists Go To Places, which delivers Visit Herts, launched the Herts Tourism Awards to further motivate the county’s tourism businesses to create even more compelling experiences and adopt best practice.

The scheme rewards exceptional standards of customer service and outstanding overall visitor experiences.
