Tickets are due to go on sale in December for an annual music festival taking place in Hatfield.

Folk by the Oak returns to the leafy grounds of Hatfield House on Sunday, July 19 – the day after annual classical concert Battle Proms.

Organisers of the one-day folk and acoustic festival are putting tickets for the event on sale earlier this year, with a December date due to be confirmed.

Although line-up announcements won’t start until the new year, Folk by the Oak is renowned for bringing together some of the finest folk acts to create an uplifting summer’s day of music.

This summer’s showcase included guitar legend Richard Thompson, Brit Award winner Beth Orton and the ever-popular Seth Lakeman.

Folk by the Oak is also the driving force behind The Elizabethan Session, a project to create new music inspired by the Elizabethan era that premiered at Hatfield House in March and has been met with rave reviews.

FBTO is producing a limited edition vinyl run of The Elizabethan Session album next year, with just 500 copies available.
