November 5th falls on a Sunday this year but there will be displays across the county from Friday, November 3, 2017 to Guy Fawkes night itself.
Here are some suggestions of where to see fireworks displays this year.
Hatfield Town Council will stage its spectacular fireworks night display at Angerland on Saturday, November 4.
Gates open at 5pm, and the display is due to start around 7pm.
WELWYN GARDEN CITY
There will be a number of fireworks display in Welwyn Garden City on Friday, November 3 – with advance tickets on sale now.
A Disney-themed fireworks night display will take place at Welwyn Garden City Football Club on Friday, November 3.
Gates to the Herns Way club open at 6.30pm, with tickets cheaper if bought online in advance.
There will be two fireworks displays at Harwood Hill JMI School on Friday, November 3.
The first will be a child-friendly low-noise display for youngsters at 7pm, with the main event following at 7.30pm.
This event sold out last year and advance tickets are on sale now.
Over in Potters Bar, the traditional display organised by Brookmans Park Rotary Club and Little Heath Primary School PTA will take place at Little Heath Primary School on Saturday, November 4.
Gates open at 5.30pm, with the bonfire lit at 6.30pm.
Fireworks will light up the sky at the School Road venue from 7pm.
One of the biggest fireworks displays in Hertfordshire for Bonfire Night will take place in St Albans.
The hugely popular annual St Albans Cathedral Fireworks Spectacular at Verulamium Park is planned for Saturday, November 4.
Gates open at 6pm, and the display is due to start at 7.30pm.
Hitchin’s Guy Fawkes Night fireworks will return this year.
Organised by community company Ladder 87, fireworks will light up the sky at Hitchin Priory on Sunday, November 5, 2017.
Tickets are on sale now.
Bonfire Night will go with a bang in Stevenage on Sunday, November 5 with a free fireworks display.
The town’s annual display is once again being held at Fairlands Valley Park.
Fireworks will light up the sky above the Herts FA County Football Ground in Letchworth this Bonfire Night.
The Letchworth & Baldock Lions Club’s 2017 fireworks display will take place on Sunday, November 5 at the football ground in Baldock Road.
Gates open and 5.30pm and the annual charity display starts at 7pm.
The Rotary Clubs on Amwell, Ware and Hertford Shires will once again be putting on Ware’s Bonfire Night fireworks display.
The town’s annual display will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at its usual location on the corner of High Oak Road and Kingsway.
Gates open at 5.30pm, and the fireworks display is expected to start at 7pm.
A huge fireworks display will take place in Watford for Bonfire Night.
The annual display in Cassiobury Park will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
Organised by Watford Borough Council, with support from Vibe 107.6FM, the display is free to attend.
ROYAL GUNPOWDER MILLS
If you are looking for something a bit different, celebrate Bonfire Night at a former gunpowder factory.
The Royal Gunpowder Mills brings its 2017 season to an end with the Guy Fawkes Festival and Fireworks over the weekend of Saturday, November 4 to Sunday, November 5.
