Christmas trees will be the centre of attention at a church’s annual festival in Welwyn Garden City.
The Garden City’s St Francis of Assisi (Anglican) Church will hold its Christmas Tree Festival this weekend.
Now in its 16th year, the two-day event will take place in Church Road on Saturday, December 6 from noon to 6pm, and on Sunday, December 7 from noon to 5pm.
Visitors were able to marvel at more than 60 decorated trees last year and those enjoying the dazzling display this year will be able to vote for their favourite.
As well as the brightly decorated trees, there will be children’s games, bargain books, homemade cakes, a grand raffle, hot food and refreshments including mulled wine, and, of course, Santa’s grotto.
The festival is in aid of St Francis Church and 1st WGC Scout Group.
Admission is £3, and it is free for accompanied children under-12.
