Welwyn Hatfield’s youngsters are being encouraged to soak up some history at a free event in the Welwyn Roman Baths.
Visitors will be able to dress up as Romans, play games and discover typical food, as well as try their hand at being an archeologist during a sandpit dig.
Local historian Tony Rook will also give talks about the bath house’s discovery and the significance of the site.
The event on Sunday, June 24, between 2pm and 5pm, free for under 16s, is part of the Welwyn Festival.
Councillor Terry Mitchinson, executive member for leisure, culture and communications, said: “It’s the perfect way to see the fascinating remains, and learn more about our rich local history at one of Welwyn Hatfield’s most notable attractions.
