THE Hertfordshire County Show takes place over the Bank Holiday weekend and you could win tickets to the event thanks to the Welwyn Hatfield Times.
IT is the big showcase event in the county’s calendar – and the Welwyn Hatfield Times has tickets for three lucky competition winners.
The 2013 Herts County Show will be held on Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26, and promises to be a lively extravaganza.
And we have three family tickets, worth £32.80, to give away for the event held at the showground in Redbourn.
This year’s show has been designed to combine tradition with modern entertainment, and show off the best of Hertfordshire.
Medieval display team The Devil’s Horsemen and the Jason Smyth Aerial Motorbike Stunt Team will be among the performers.
And in a tradition dating back more than a century, the Liberty Challenge Cup will be presented to the overall points cattle winner.
There will also be trade stands, showjumping, a circus, and Mr Alexander’s Travelling Show will regale onlookers.
The show dates back to 1801, and was originally set up as a showcase for Hertfordshire’s agricultural strength.
More than 30,000 visitors are expected over the weekend.
