One of the largest free firework displays in Hertfordshire for Bonfire Night 2014 will take place in Watford this evening (Saturday).

The Cassiobury Park Fireworks and Bonfire Night display will take place in Watford tonight (Saturday, November 8).

Organised and backed by Watford Borough Council, with the support of Watford Lions Club, the event starts at 6pm.

Following entertainment and music on stage, the bonfire will be lit at 7pm and the main fireworks – a spectacular 19-minute display – will commence at 7.30pm.

There are no ground level fireworks in the main display. All fireworks will reach a minimum of 100ft, with the best view from within the main event arena.

No sparklers are allowed in the park.

Parking restrictions will be in place on the south side of Cassiobury Park from 7am to 11pm to enable emergency vehicle access to the event.

The best place to park is in any of the public car parks around the town centre.

Although this event is free of charge, volunteers from the Watford Lions Club will be collecting on the night, with donations going towards supporting local charities.

Watford’s Vibe 107.6FM will be compering the event.
