Red Devils parachute display team confirmed for Hatfield Battle Proms appearance
The world-famous Red Devils parachute display team will drop in on the Battle Proms concert in Hatfield again this year.
Organisers of the annual picnic proms concert today confirmed that the Red Devils will be making an appearance at the 2019 Hatfield House Battle Proms.
In 2017, the Battle Proms celebrated their 20th anniversary with a very special addition to their programme, inviting the Red Devils, the Parachute Regiment and British Army’s official display team, to perform a spectacular freefall demonstration in the skies above their concerts.
The daring team once again performed at the Battle Proms last summer, and received a rapturous welcome from the crowds waiting on the ground.
Promoters of the Battle Proms have now announced the return of these daredevil performers for their concert in the grounds of Hatfield House on Saturday, July 13.
An informative commentary will be provided throughout the team’s display, and parachute team members will join the audience afterwards for the essential selfie opportunities.
An early booking offer for this year’s Battle Proms ends soon.
To catch the team dropping into Hatfield House, be sure to book your Battle Proms tickets by midnight on Thursday, January 31, for the best priced tickets.
Battle Proms tickets cost £32.50 per adult if booked before the end of the month, online purchase only.
The price then rises to £37 if booked between February 1 and April 30, 2019.
As well as the Red Devils, the UK’s leading classical picnic proms features Spitfire, cannons, cavalry and fireworks, along with a two-hour classical concert.

A classic Red Devils parachute display will see up to 10 team members jumping from an altitude of up to 10,000ft.
Trailing smoke to demonstrate their speed and movement, the highly-skilled skydivers will freefall at speeds of up to 120mph, before deploying their parachutes.
Once safely under canopy, team members will demonstrate breathtaking, high-speed ‘Swoop’ landings and spectacular ‘Canopy Formations’ – both unique to parachute displays in the UK.
The Red Devils was formed in 1964 to promote the Army’s elite Parachute Regiment in support of recruitment.
Every member of the team is a serving soldier from one of the regiment’s three full-time Battalions: 1, 2 & 3 Para – with each having seen active service in the Falklands, Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Afghanistan or Iraq.
Since 1979, The Red Devils has been firmly established as the British Army’s official parachute display team and its members are widely acknowledged as among the best display parachutists in the world.
Every year the team carry out more than 100 spectacular parachute displays at public events worldwide promoting the British Army and The Parachute Regiment (‘The Paras’).
In addition to displays, the Red Devils also help to raise over £500,000 for charity each year by carrying out tandem skydives with members of the public.
