After 30 successful years in St Albans, Hertfordshire’s premier model railway exhibition arrives at a new Stevenage location next weekend.
The Chiltern Model Railway Exhibition will be held at Stevenage Arts & Leisure Centre next Saturday and Sunday.
The new venue has been chosen by the Chiltern Model Railway Association (CMRA) because of the Lytton Way site’s excellent transport links and its large, disabled-friendly and well-lit halls.
The weekend will feature a diverse selection of working layouts covering a variety of scales, gauges and prototypes.
There will also be a wide variety of trade stands providing everything the railway modeller needs.
There will be expert demonstrations, society stands and exhibits, and refreshments and a cafe.
The exhibitions runs from 10am to 5.30pm on Saturday, January 14, and 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday, January 15.
Adult tickets cost £8, with up to two children aged five to 16 allowed free with each paying adult.
Additional children pay £4 and it is free for under-5s.
Tickets for unaccompanied children aged 10 to 16 cost £4.
