THE annual Lemsford Fete, at St John’s School and Church, takes place on May Bank Holiday Monday.

The event, a true English country fete, includes Maypole dancing, coconut shy, tea-cup and pony rides, live music, Pimm’s tent, local jazz band, beer tent and teddy bear zip wire.

The annual fete runs from noon to 4pm.

The barbeque will be serving ethically farmed, award-winning Muddy Boots burgers, plus there will be homemade sandwiches, cakes and treats.

Money raised will go to the school, church and other charities.

Entry is £1.50. OAPs are £1 and children under 16 go free.
