‘IRON Man’ will be making a special guest appearance at a film screening in Welwyn Garden City this week.
Welwyn Garden City’s very own version of Marvel’s armour-plated icon – aka student Archie Whitehead in his replica of the superhero’s suit – will be attending the first 3D showing of Iron Man 3 (12A) at the Hawthorne Cinema, at Campus West, on Tuesday evening.
Dressed in his fantastic copy, customers can pose for photos and chat to teenager Archie about his amazing creation ahead of the 7.55pm screening.
Featured in the Welwyn Hatfield Times, the suit took Archie, 17, roughly 300 hours to create.
In the third instalment of the blockbuster Iron Man franchise, Robert Downey Jr once again plays everybody’s favourite genius billionaire playboy philanthropist Tony Stark.
The flippant hero now faces his greatest threat yet. It arrives in the form of master-criminal The Mandarin – a villain who sets about destroying Stark’s entire world.
Out on his own, Stark must rely on his ingenuity to defeat his arch-nemesis while fighting to protect the love of his life, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow).
