The Galleria has teamed up with Herts Young Homeless (hyh).

The centre will be supporting the independent charity’s activities, providing a venue for events and helping to raise funds for this fantastic cause.

As a result, Herts Young Homeless will be hosting an event at The Galleria on Saturday, July 22, which highlights “sofa surfing homelessness”, featuring a mock living room set up and educating on the challenges that homeless people face.

There’s also the chance to win a £50 Galleria gift card, with Herts Young Homeless running a scavenger hunt throughout the centre.

For a small donation, pick up a sheet of five clues and find five images placed in shop windows, return your form to the hyh volunteers and a winner will be picked at the end of the day.

Herts Young Homeless’ services are open to all 16 to 24 year olds within Hertfordshire who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.

The charity uses education, advice, support and other specialist services with the aim of preventing breakdowns in family relationships, and in other cases, to help young people already affected to fulfil their potential and find accommodation.

Homelessness can lead to drug or alcohol dependency and mental health problems, which is why it’s so important to help as soon as possible.

The Galleria will be working alongside the organisation over the coming months to help the charity to achieve its goals.

If you want to get involved, there are plenty of opportunities to fundraise, volunteer or even become a Nightstop Herts host.
