Hatfield art and culture festival draws to a close this weekend

HATFIELD'S arts and culture festival will come to an end this weekend but there is still plenty to see.

Hatfest, which has been running in and around the town since July 6, will stage its grand finale tomorrow (Saturday).

The main event of the weekend is a free fun day taking place in White Lion Square from 11am to 4.30pm where amongst other events, there will be dancing demonstrations, live music and face painting.

Kaleidescope short film festival, hosted by the University of Hertfordshire and Breaks Manor, will also take place at Breaks Manor from 1pm to 5pm.

Film categories include: Best of the Co-operative National Youth Festival, Best of University of Herts Film Production, Best of University of Herts Film Animation, The Young Community Films, Best of Oaklands College Film Expose.

On Sunday Folk by the Oak, taking place in Hatfield Park, will bring the two-week long festival to a close.
