Firework displays 2015: Watford, Hertfordshire
PUBLISHED: 11:00 28 October 2015 | UPDATED: 13:04 28 October 2015
One of the largest free fireworks displays in Hertfordshire for Bonfire Night 2015 will take place in Watford.
Each year the Cassiobury Park fireworks spectacular is held on the Saturday nearest to November 5.
This year’s fireworks extravaganza will, therefore, take place on November 7.
Organised and financially supported by Watford Borough Council, with the support of the Watford Lions, entertainment starts at 6pm.
Watford’s Vibe 107.6FM radio station will be compering the event, with live music on stage from 6.30pm.
The bonfire will be lit at 7pm, with the 19-minute firework display starting around 7.30pm.
The event is free of charge.
Volunteers from the Watford Lions Club will oversee the collection taking place on the night, which goes towards supporting local charities.
There are no ground level fireworks in the main display.
All fireworks will reach a minimum of 100 feet, with the best view from within the main event arena between the stage and the bonfire.
No fireworks or sparklers are allowed in the park.
There will be parking restrictions in nearby roads from 7am to 11pm.
These are put in place on the south side of Cassiobury Park to keep the roads clear for emergency vehicle access.
The areas covered by the no parking restrictions are:
• Cassiobury Park Avenue
• Coningesby Drive
• Gade Avenue
• Langley Way (from the junction with Cassiobury Drive to Parkside Drive)
• Oak View
• Parkside Drive (from the junction with Cassiobury Drive to The Gardens)
• Swiss Avenue
• Swiss Close
• Shepherds Road
The best place to park is in any of the public car parks around the town centre.
There are limited disabled car parking facilities on site, available on a first come, first served basis, and Blue Badges must be shown.
Parking is also available at Fullerians Rugby Club at £5 a car.
