A huge fireworks display will take place in Cheshunt for Bonfire Night – four days before November 5 this year.

Cheshunt’s Festival of Fireworks will take on Saturday, November 1, 2014 – a day earlier than normal.

Organisers have switched the annual display from a Sunday night to Saturday on a trial basis.

Gates to Cheshunt Park, in Park Lane, open at 4.30pm and there will be traditional fun for all the family before a stunning themed display choreographed to music.

The fireworks will light up the Cheshunt night sky from 6.45pm.

A Borough of Broxbourne council spokeswoman said: “The move to a Saturday is being trialled, in response to feedback from families with young children, who prefer not to keep their children up late when they have school the next day.”

This year’s 20-minute professionally choreographed display will celebrate 40 years of the Borough of Broxbourne and will feature hit music from the last four decades.

There will also be a funfair and food outlets.

Advanced single tickets are priced £5, and a family pass costs £18.

On the night, single tickets cost £7, and it is £25 for two adults and two children on the gate.

Free parking will be available at the Brookfield Centre from 4pm.

Book online or call the box office on 01992 441946.
