ONE of the largest free firework displays in Hertfordshire for Bonfire Night 2013 will take place in the borough of Hertsmere at Borehamwood’s Meadow Park.

Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council will be hosting a stunning display of pyrotechnics choreographed to music at Meadow Park on Tuesday, November 5.

For more than 20 years, it has been the largest public gathering in the town and has significantly reduced fireworks related accidents.

The fireworks will be start promptly at 7pm and people are advised to use public transport or come on foot to avoid congestion.

Entry is free for the whole family, and the winners of the Penny for the Guy competition organised by the town council will bring their entries along.
