Carry On star at Christmas book signing and Q&A

A Carry On star will be talking about her movie career at a film studios in Hertfordshire next week.
Angela Douglas, who appeared in classic comedies Carry On Cowboy and Carry On... Up the Khyber, will be at Elstree Studios, in Borehamwood, on Tuesday, November 24, for a Christmas book signing and Q&A.
She will talk about her long career in film and television, including the Carry On films, and her marriage to Kenneth More.
Her Elstree career highlights include episodes of The Saint alongside Roger Moore and The Avengers, and the film Digby The Biggest Dog in the World.
However, she is best remembered for her roles in the Carry On films in the 1960s.
In Carry On Cowboy, she played a trigger-happy version of Annie Oakley alongside Jim Dale’s Marshal P. Knutt and Sid James as The Rumpo Kid.
She also appeared in Carry On Screaming!, Follow That Camel as Lady Jane Ponsonby and Up the Khyber as Princess Jelhi.
Admission to the Elstree event is by ticket only.
The cost is £5, refundable against purchase of a signed copy of the new Elstree Studios 90th book.
The event starts at 7.30pm, arrival from 6.45pm.
