A touring theatre company returns to Hatfield this week with a riotous romp.
Building on the success of Somewhere in England last year, UHArts has invited Eastern Angles back to Roe Hill Hall in Briars Lane with their new production, The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart.
Join Prudencia Hart, an uptight university academic, as she sets off for a conference in the Scottish Borders.
So begins a dream-like adventure of self-discovery accompanied by plenty of folky musical moments.
This beautiful and darkly comic tale is told by a series of mischievous storytellers in a riotous romp of rhyming couplets, devilish encounters and wild karaoke.
Originally produced by the National Theatre of Scotland, this highly-acclaimed and life affirming play by David Greig promises to get your toes tapping and your heart racing.
Hazel Foxon from UHArts said: “We are delighted to welcome Eastern Angles back to the Roe Hill Hall for another UHArts theatre production in the heart of Hatfield.
“The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart will transport the audience to a lively Scottish pub for a performance that’s part live gig, part folk-tale and part barnstorming comedy. It promises to be a memorable evening.”
Tickets cost £8, concessions £6.
Book online at www.uharts.co.uk or call the box office on 01707 281127 (Monday to Friday, 10am to 12noon).
The show can be seen on Thursday, May 18 at 7.30pm.
