SIR - In my teens during the 70s, my family and I would come to WGC from Barnet for the outdoor pool and sailing lakes at Stanborough. I loved the view of the lakes as you came off the Oldings roundabout and down the A6129. I have now lived in WGC for over 20 years, and was instantly transported back to those days while driving home from Tesco. The scruffy poplar trees are gone and the fantastic view has returned! What an amazing welcome to our beautiful town.
