SIR – Late last year some pipes or cables were laid in Sherrardswood near Cycle Post 12, just north of Five Ways Corner. The heavy plant brought in to carry out this task seems to have disturbed all the hogget which was laid just a couple of years ago.

The heavy plant brought in to carry out this task seems to have disturbed all the hogget which was laid just a couple of years ago.

The paths to and from the area are now turning into a quagmire.

I have written to the council to ask the contractors to return the paths to their original state, so that we may once more enjoy a well managed woodland with paths fit for walking and cycling.
