Considering that residents are always being told "students give so much to our community" etc why wasn't any of it spent on the regeneration of Hatfield Town Centre?
Similarly the lack of family accommodation for residents of Hatfield while all the wasted converted private student lets surrounding us cause ASB nuisance on a regular basis.
We have seen so many incidents of binge drinking since our estate became a "student" hostel, one only the other week with a young girl laying on the grass verge and pavement at 2am, her "friends" with her found it amusing and did not seem concerned that she was panting and "out of it".
We have phoned the police so many times in the last few years regarding damage to property, ASB, screams, suspected burglary (only to find out that it was students who were locked out again and decided to use their car roof to get to the upstairs window at 1am!).
Do any students living off campus read the leaflet Living off Campus, How to be a good neighbour or A for Alcohol.
I don't think so!
