SIR - Re the student 'curfew'...

The threat of a univerisity-wide curfew at midnight due to the 'stabbing incident' at the College Lane campus upset the students "as they did not want to be tucked up in bed so early".

Obviously midnight to them during the week is "early" as they do not have to go to work the next day!!

I wonder if the permanent Hatfield residents who are affected feel about doing a protest due to the constant disturbances by student anti-social behaviour depriving us of sleep most evenings and weekends from the fallout of the clubs and the weekly student parties.

Maybe we could have a banner saying 'Residents demand that life be allowed to return to normal'!!!
