SIR - I would like to know why the main road into WGC town centre (Parkway) hasn't any parking restrictions.

The road where I live (Longcroft Lane), which is relatively parallel to Parkway and is a no-through road, has a parking restriction which I agree with otherwise our road would be used as a commuters' parking area.

The bays in our road are taken up mostly with people on their way to the train station usually parking between 8am and 9am and back at around 6 to 7pm.

Driving through Parkway during the day has of late become very hazardous with a long row of cars on one side of the road, being a busy road with a secondary and primary school nearby (Stanborough and Applecroft).

Am I the only person thinking that if any road 'deserves' a restriction in WGC then it's this one.

Name and address supplied.
