TICKETS for a three-day music festival taking place in Welwyn Garden City in September go on sale this week.
Georgie Fame, Django Bates and Stan Tracey will headline the Herts Jazz Festival 2013 being held at the Hawthorne Theatre from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22.
This will be the third Herts Jazz Festival, building upon previous years’ successes at the Campus West entertainment complex.
The 2012 Festival earned an unbeatable five-star review in The Times, with Alyn Shipton describing it as “one of Britain’s finest jazz events”.
Festival weekend tickets go on sale tomorrow (Tuesday), costing £90, and £80 for Herts Jazz Club members. Student passes are priced £40.
Early bird discounts of £10 are available for tickets purchased before June 1, 2013.
Tickets will be on sale via the Herts Jazz Festival website – www.hertsjazzfestival.co.uk – and at the Campus West box office on 01707 357117 from Tuesday.
Herts Jazz Festival is being supported by Arts Council England, and Fazioli will again be lending organisers two of their fantastic pianos.
Festival artistic director Clark Tracey said: “We’ve got three of Britain’s jazz giants headlining for us this year and a fantastic range of artists performing over the whole weekend.
“It is going to be a really great festival for jazz-lovers.”
