Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire country duo The Shires have been announced as support for singing superstar Michael Bublé at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park this summer.
The biggest-selling UK country act of all time will perform in Hyde Park on Friday, July 13.
After a hugely successful two years, the announcement comes as Crissie Rhodes and Herts-based Ben Earle are on the brink of releasing their highly anticipated third album Accidentally on Purpose on 20th April 20.
Their first single released from the new album, Guilty, has gone straight into this week’s BBC Radio 2 ‘B’ playlist and is Record of the Week.
Ben and Crissie said: “We are hugely excited to be playing Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park and supporting the incredible Michael Bublé.
“We recorded our new album Accidentally on Purpose in Nashville, the home of Country Music, so to be performing our new music in Hyde Park which has so much musical history, feels like coming full circle.
“Headlining the second stage for thousands of fans in the sunshine will be a very special moment for us.”
Their performance at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park will come just weeks after they finish their national tour of the UK, with dates throughout May and June, including one at London’s Royal Albert Hall in London on May 18.
