Grease will be the word in St Albans this week, as St Albans Operatic Society presents the hit musical at the Alban Arena.
Following on from the recent successes of Annie, Follies and Guys & Dolls in the last year, St Albans Operatic Society is bringing another classic musical to the stage at the Alban Arena.
The Pink Ladies and T-Birds will be performing live once again, as the society presents the much-loved Grease from Tuesday to Saturday, November 8 at the St Albans venue.
The story of Grease is well known and is ever-popular among theatregoers, but it is only on for six performances at the Arena.
Director Alan ‘Teen Angel’ Cox said: “Sandy, Danny and the gang have been spending their Summer Nights proving they are Born To Hand Jive as they show you that Grease is the word.”
Musical director Clive ‘Coach Calhoun’ Ogden added: “Why not grab a few friends and make a point to stop by the joint.
“After all, going to see great theatre is best when We Go Together.”
Featuring some of the brightest talents on the local theatre scene, the show stars Bethan Rufey as Sandy, Oli Martin-Smith as Danny, Elise Allanson as Rizzo and Adam Keene as Kenickie.
Don’t be a Beauty School Drop-out, fun-filled evenings like this don’t come around very often.
