The Jam’s music still sounds as fresh today as when it was released by Paul Weller and Co back in the late 70s and early 80s.

It’s been more than 30 years since the Mod legends split up at the height of their powers.

While Weller plays selected Jam tracks during his solo tours, the best way to hear classic songs such as Start, Going Underground, When You’re Young and Strange Town is to see From The Jam, featuring former The Jam bassist Bruce Foxton.

From The Jam will be bringing their 2016 acoustic tour That’s Entertainment to The Horn pub in St Albans on Wednesday, March 16.

Foxton and Russell Hastings will be joined on stage by pianist Tom Heel, and will perform a selection of songs from The Jam’s extensive back catalogue, as well as handing over the microphone to the audience for a question and answer session.

This intimate show is a rare opportunity to hear fan favourites in this stripped down way.

“We played some acoustic shows last year and it was a revelation how well the songs work acoustically,” said Foxton.

“It’s a testament to a good song that they have stood the test of time and don’t need a full band and big production in order to work so well.”

Audience members can expect to hear classics such as Down In The Tube Station At Midnight, Town Called Malice and The Modern World.

Advance tickets are on sale now priced £25 and it’s advisable to book early to avoid disappointment.

Tickets will be £27 on the door.
