If you were watching the BRIT Awards last night you will have seen that Little Mix’s single Woman Like Me won the 2019 British Video of the Year. Did you know that the video was filmed at Knebworth House?

Little Mix scooped the trophy for 2019 British Video of the Year, as voted for by the public, at The O2 in London.

The girl group won for the video of hit single Woman Like Me, featuring Nicki Minaj.

The song’s empowering video was filmed at Hertfordshire stately home Knebworth House last year.

The award was presented to Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Jade Thirlwall by When Will I Be Famous band Bros at last night’s awards bash.

Jesy Nelson said: “Thank you so much, for our incredible fans, we would not be on this stage without you guys.

“You are our babies, we love you, and this one is for you guys.”

Filmed on location at Knebworth House, the lead single from Little Mix’s album LM5 reached number two in both the UK and Scotland music charts, number three in Ireland, and reached number four on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart in the United States.

The video begins with the girls in the back of a van heading to Knebworth House, which doubles as what appears to be a reformatory school for the video, to be taught the proper ways on how to be a woman.

They are seen learning how to balance a book on top of their head in the library at Knebworth House, how to walk properly down the formal gardens of the Lytton family home, and how to properly eat in the Picture Gallery-cum-dining room.

Later on, the video cuts to a shot of each of the girls doing something that is stereotypically feminine.

Perrie is ironing, Jade is pouring the tea, Jesy is smelling some flowers, and Leigh-Anne is vacuuming.

They are then seen on a giant set of balance scales wearing dresses and outfits. It was a struggle getting the scales into the triple-height Banqueting Hall.

The video also cuts to the girls in the Banqueting Hall dancing on chairs.

When Nicki Minaj’s rap starts, the video jumps to a Victorian-style painting located in the Banqueting Hall room.

Nicki Minaj’s section was not filmed at Knebworth House, but rather cut together in editing.

The painting changes throughout her verse as she is “a chameleon”. As this happens, the video cuts to clips of the girls in Knebworth House.

When the verse ends and the final chorus starts, Little Mix are seen dancing on top of the van featured at the beginning of the song, now located in the front courtyard of Knebworth House.

Afterwards, the girls are shown eating in an “unladylike” way and destroying their chores.

The video then ends with a shot of the girls together with a backdrop of the garden-side of the Hertfordshire stately home.

The music video has reached over 152 million views on YouTube.
