Organisers have extended the early bird ticket offer for an annual Hatfield music festival ahead of announcing the event’s main stage headliner.
Folk by the Oak returns to the grounds of Hatfield House on Sunday, July 14 for a summer celebration of folk and acoustic music.

The current cheapest early bird price of £34.50 for adult tickets was due to close at midnight on Thursday, January 31.
However, a festival spokesperson said: “We will be announcing our headliner on Sunday, February 3, so you’ll be pleased to hear we’ve extended our early booking offer.
“You now have until midnight Sunday, February 10 to get your tickets for just £34.50 per adult, or £97 for a family ticket.”
The price then rises to £38 until midnight on March 31.
Award-winning Scottish trio Talisk have also been added to the FBTO bill.
“We are over the moon to tell you that we will be welcoming the thrillingly gifted Talisk for the first time to our festival this year,” said a spokesperson.
Comprised of Hayley Keenan, Graeme Armstrong and current BBC Radio 2 Folk Musician of the Year, Mohsen Amini, Scottish firebrands Talisk have a reputation for explosively energetic performances and a multi-layered signature sound.
The FBTO spokesperson added: “If you’re one of the many die-hard followers that they have amassed along the way, you’ll be delighted with this news.
“If you haven’t yet experienced their artful, captivating and infectious talent then you are in for a treat at Folk by the Oak this July!”
Ahead of the Hertfordshire festival’s headliner being confirmed on February 3, the FBTO 2019 main stage line-up currently includes singer-songwriter Seth Lakeman, and The Lost Word – Spell Songs featuring the combined talents of Karine Polwart, Julie Fowlis, Seckou Keita, Kris Dreaver, Kerry Andrew, Rachel Newton, Beth Porter and Jim Molyneux.
A FBTO statement said: “Since commissioning The Lost Words – Spell Songs we have been blown away by the momentum our latest commission has gathered.
“Following the excitement of the residency and recording earlier this month, we can barely wait to bring you the phenomenal new music these eight remarkable musicians have created!
“Of course, you will be seeing Spell Songs in all its glory at Folk by the Oak, but if you were hoping to catch the February tour please be aware that The Lost Words – Spell Songs has all but sold out, with just a few tickets left for our Birmingham Town Hall gig on Saturday, February 9.”
The smaller Acorn Stage at FBTO will be headlined by multi-award winning indie-folk sensations Elephant Sessions.
Grace Petrie will also play the Acorn tent.
The regular cost of Folk by the Oak 2019 tickets from April 1 until midnight the day before the festival will be £41.
Subject to availability, tickets will cost £46 on the day of the festival.
Children’s tickets for ages five to 15 cost £18 at all times, and the event is free for youngsters aged four and under.
