Global singing superstar Demi Lovato will play a huge outdoor show at Newmarket Racecourses this summer.
The Sorry Not Sorry star will headline the family-friendly Summer Saturday Live at Newmarket Racecourses on Saturday, June 9, 2018.
She will bring her Tell Me You Love Me world tour to the Newmarket stage for her first ever UK racecourse show.
Named after her acclaimed sixth studio album, the tour is currently playing to sold-out arenas across the US.
Saf Chowdhury, director of concerts and marketing at The Jockey Club Live, said: “We are delighted to announce Demi Lovato as our Summer Saturday headliner on June 9.
“Her achievements as a global star are second to none and the show will be something very special.”
She joins previously announced headliners Paloma Faith, George Ezra, James Blunt and Nile Rodgers & Chic on the Newmarket summer line-up.
Amy Starkey, Regional Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses, said: “We are delighted that Demi Lovato will be playing to our Summer Saturday Live audience at Newmarket Racecourses on June 9.
“Demi has a huge following and she will appeal greatly to our family audience. It’s fantastic that her many fans will have the opportunity to see her perform here in Newmarket after an exciting day’s racing.”
The Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum singer and songwriter released her sixth studio album Tell Me You Love Me last year, with lead single Sorry Not Sorry quickly being certified double-platinum.
With a back catalogue featuring massive hits including Heart Attack, Confident, Cool For The Summer, Give Your Heart A Break and timeless juggernaut Skyscraper, Demi has secured her place as being one of the most respected vocalists of recent times.
Demi will be joining a summer line-up of some of the world’s best-known contemporary artists and iconic acts.
Having brought the likes of Little Mix and previous Demi Lovato collaborator Olly Murs to the racecourse in 2017, The Jockey Club Live season this year looks set to continue that incredible success.
With Craig David at Newmarket already sold out, many more shows are set to follow suit, including Hertfordshire singer George Ezra, who most recently shot straight to the number one spot on the Official UK Album Chart with sophomore album Staying at Tamara’s, knocking The Greatest Showman off the top after a staggering 11 weeks at the summit.
He will headline Newmarket Nights on August 17.
Taking place during the afternoon, Summer Saturday Live is a perfect day out for all of the family.
There will be reduced priced children’s tickets aged five to 15 available when accompanied by a responsible adult of 18 or over, while children aged four and under are entitled to free admission.
• Tickets for Demi Lovato at Summer Saturday Live will go on sale at 8am on Friday, April 6 via www.thejockeyclublive.co.uk, with a presale available to customers at 8am on Thursday, April 5.
