ANTIQUES expert and wheeler-dealer David Dickinson is heading to Welwyn Garden City today (Saturday).
The former Bargain Hunt host, whose catchphrase “cheap as chips” has passed into the national lexicon, is due to bring hit ITV1 show Dickinson’s Real Deal to Gosling Sports Park, in Stanborough Road.
The star said: “It’s great to bring the show to Welwyn Garden City, a town we haven’t visited before.
“People of Welwyn Garden City come along and get the Real Deal.”
He added: “I’m very much looking forward to visiting Hertfordshire, an area of the country I love bringing the show to.
“I remember visiting the area before in our last series; the items brought in were fantastic – great quality – with fabulous history and stories attached.”
Residents who want to flog their unwanted heirlooms can turn up on the day, call 0117 970 7618 or email dickinsonsrealdeal@rdftelevision.com
Admission is free, and David Dickinson will be in town from 9am to 5pm.
Those interested can also follow the show on Twitter @ITVRealDeal or find it on Facebook by searching ITVRealDeal.
