The cast of this year’s 2016 Harpenden panto met on the Common to launch December’s Public Halls show.

The seasonal treat will star X Factor’s Honey Fine in the title role.

As part of close harmony group Mon Amie, she wowed the judges on last year’s The X Factor, with songs ranging from Britney’s Hit Me One More Time to Louis Armstrong’s Wonderful World.

Simon Cowell was particularly impressed, and the group got through to the six chair challenge.

She supported Jason Donovan on his UK-wide Greatest Hits Tour earlier this year, and Mon Amie’s polished performances have had over a million views on YouTube.

Panto Cinderella can be seen on stage at Harpenden Public Halls from Saturday, December 10 to Thursday, December 22.

Joining Honey and starring as Buttons will be Hi-5’s Luke Roberts.

Luke can be seen daily on CITV and Cartoonito, and is going to be a sure-fire hit with all the kids in Harpenden.

Spreading her magic over proceedings as Fairy Godmother will be TV’s woman of 1,000 voices Jess Robinson.

Comedian and impressionist Jess has appeared on stage and screen, and is the voice of CBBC’s Horrible Histories.

Steve Leeds, from Go!Go!Go! on Nick Jr, plays Prince Charming.

Steve appeared in the town’s 2014 panto Snow White and liked Harpenden so much that he wanted to come back.

The horrible Ugly Sisters are played by BBC Three Counties Radio’s Ernie Almond and St Albans-based actor Simon Nicholas.

Harpenden panto favourite Chris Law plays Baron Hardup and directs.

With plenty of audience participation, a fantastic live band, lovely costumes and scenery, and a sprinkling of magic, Cinderella is going to be the perfect Christmas entertainment for the whole family.

The family panto runs from December 10 to December 22 and Harpenden Public Hall’s box office is now taking bookings on 01582 767525 or via www.harpendenpublichalls.co.uk
